10 $ Smart LED-bulbs

When you live in a one-bedroom apartment and your kitchen is also your living room, dining room, work space and photo studio, it can be hard to have the right lighting. With Mi light I can turn the lighting up and down and make the right lighting setting. The bulbs have build-in dimers and they can change the temperature, so you can put them in any lamp with the right socket.

The bulbs are copies of the Phillips Hue ones, but they are quite cheap at the price of 10 $ (Aliexpress). The bulbs are a great way to save money on the electrical bill, without getting the cold light that fluorescent light bulbs give.

The remote is easy to control, and you can set more than one bulb to the four zones. You can still control the lamps from the switch on the wall, if you like, as the bulbs turns on, on the last colour- and light level the were set to.

In this video I demonstrate the use of the bulbs.

In this video I demonstrate the use of the bulbs.

I bought the bulbs here and the remote here. The bulbs that I chose were E27 9w CW WW and GU10 4W CW WW. E27 and GU10 was the socket, 9w and 4w the power and CW WW meant that the bulbs was without colour (red, green etc.).

If you want to know more about how mutch light the bulbs gives compared to traditional incandescent light bulb, you can look at my chart:

Bulb Lumen What would that be if it was an incandescent light bulb
GU10 4W CW WW 200-220 25w
E14 5W CW WW 350-370 40w
E27 6W CW WW 450-470 40w
E27 9W CW WW 800-850 60w

Scratch map from Aliexpress (6$)

Today this map arrived in the mail. It is a scratch map, where you can scratch where you have been. I bought the map trough Aliexpress and it only cost med 6 $. You can get it here.

The map was packed well, so there were no folds or anything.

The people who made the map did make one funny mistake. On the map the Baltic Sea was Russian.

The map is quite funny and very good quality, and I would definitely recommend others to buy it.

Test: 55 $ Sports Cam

Let’s all agree that if you are serious about recording your adventurous life, GoPro is the way to go. But if you, like me, are not a diver and now an off pist snowboarder, but only go ski once a year or snorkel when you are at the beach, the GoPro will be expensive for such few pleasures. There is an alternative, and that is sj4000, which only costs 55 $ on Aliexpress. It is not an amazing camera, but you can have a lot of fun with it.

The camera was quite nice and there was a lot of equipment in the box.

So… Would I recommend people to buy it? It depends on what you are going to use it for. Ask yourself if you are ready to spend more for the better video quality that GoPro delivers. If you, like me, think that it could be fun to bring it on vacation and will use it a couple of times a year, then it might just be the thing for you.

Heart Rate Monitor for Iphone (30$ with shipping)

Yesterday a new gadget arrived. A heart rate monitor bought through Ebay at xpressnez. The heart rate monitor is able to connect to my Iphone, and by that I can monitor my pulse through Endomondo, Wahoo and other sprtsapps. I payd 31 AU$ with shipping, quite a lot cheaper than the 100$ I would pay in Denmark, but without any guaranties.

The seller, whom I bought from wrote in the ad, that the package would be sent from Hong Kong, but I can see on the packaged, that it was shipped from Zurich. For me this meant that I did not have to pay any customs (Sweeeet!). Still, be aware that you risk paying customs.

The package contained a belt, Bluetooth-transmitter and a manual.

The sensor is made of soft rubber and fabric that does not irritate the skin during workout. It measures from about 66 to 94 cm.

I the picture below you can see the testrun I did with it on. The logged pulse seems correct and in sync with how I felt when I went running.

I am super happy with this product, and I would definitely recommend it!
